Google Won’t Access Credit & Debit Cards For Payment?
here’s what you need to know...
Google just dropped some big news...
🚨No more debit or credit cards for automated Ads billing.
Only wire transfers & ACH payments.
Which means if your Google Ads account is connected to a credit or debit card…
You must change your payment method on file or risk getting your ads shut off.
This industry wide change goes into effect starting on July 31st (only a few days from now!).
So here’s what you’ll need to do if you haven’t changed your payment method yet:
Step #1: Sign in to your Google Ads account
Step #2: Click on “Settings” (gear icon) & click on “Billing & Payments”
Step #3: Find & click on “Payment Method”
Step #4: Update your payment method to (ACH should be easiest)
For newcomers or the occasional forgotten-updaters out there, this is no small tweak….
Especially if Google Ads keeps your lights on and trucks rolling.
So, why the sudden change?
I think it has to do with lower processing fees and smoother transactions (that’s my bet).
Google loves making things efficient…even if it shakes things up at first.
